File Formats
Each eBook is available in four formats:
-
Adobe PDF: If you want to print out my travel writing, this is the format for you. These files contain all the text and photographs from my website, and they can be viewed and printed using Abode's free Acrobat Reader. The page counts above refer to this format.
-
Microsoft Reader: If you have a handheld running Pocket PC, then you can download a free copy of Microsoft Reader to view my eBooks on the go. These contain just the text of my travel writing and are designed for reading on screen.
-
eReader: This format is best for Palm-based handhelds, though eReader also works on Pocket PC, Mac OS and Windows. All you need to do is to download eReader for free, and you're away. Again, these contain just the text of my travel writing, and are designed for reading on screen.
-
Adobe eBook: Finally, these files comply with Adobe's eBook format and can be read with Acrobat Reader. This might be useful for handhelds that can't run Microsoft Reader or eReader, or as an alternative screen reading system for desktops.
Creative Commons Licence
I've released my eBooks via a Creative Commons Licence, which means you are free to distribute them to everyone and anyone, as long as you do this on a non-commercial basis and make no changes to the files. If you know someone who might like to read my eBooks, please pass them on; I make no money from any of this, but I do enjoy the thought of people reading my eBooks and recommending them to their friends. Or, I suppose, their enemies...
